The UK Government Must Stop Football Complicity in Israel’s Genocide

The UK government must stop UK corporations, including the Premier League, from being complicit in Israel’s illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide of the Palestinian people.

English Premier League football clubs are complicit in Israel’s atrocities through their sponsors, which provide fuel, finance and technology to Israel as it commits atrocities against Palestinians.

Football clubs are promoting these corporate sponsors to billions of fans. This is sportswashing. Sponsor branding on shirts and stadiums promotes these corporations to billions of fans, improving their reputations through connections with beloved clubs while distracting fans from their role in Israel’s atrocities.

The UK government has the power – and the obligation – to stop UK corporations from being complicit in Israel’s illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide.
