Ahead of the Global Days of Action against ISDS, join us for an evening of collective banner painting as we prepare to take our message to the streets: Stop Corporate Courts. End ISDS.
ISDS – or Investor-State Dispute Settlement – is a clause written into trade deals that allows corporations to sue governments in secretive corporate courts when they introduce policies that corporations don't like — including policies designed to protect people and the planet.
This rigged system gives multinational corporations extraordinary power to challenge democratic decisions and put profits before human rights and the environment.
That's why people around the world are coming together for three coordinated days of action calling for an end to ISDS. In London, we'll be joining the global mobilisation by bringing people together outside Parliament to demand that the UK government gets out of the system for good.
And we're getting ready to make our message impossible to miss.
We'll be painting a giant 'Stop Corporate Courts' banner, which will be dropped from Westminster Bridge as part of a London action on Thursday 15 October.
No artistic skills needed — just come along, get stuck in and help us paint!
