How has Israel been able to commit genocide of the Palestinian people for almost three years? Because it doesn’t work alone.
Genocide on this scale needs enablers – the money funding Israel’s genocide, the technology used to surveil and bomb Palestinians and the legitimacy Israel gains from its relationships with major corporations. So much of this support comes from the UK: our banks and our brands.
UK-based Barclays bank invests billions in arms companies enabling Israel’s genocide, and it’s deeply embedded in UK culture – sponsoring everything from Premier League football to Wimbledon.
We have the power to stop enablers of genocide. UK music festivals Latitude and Isle of Wight dropped Barclays as a sponsor in 2024 after a huge public boycott over Barclays’ links to Israel’s genocide. Later that year, Barclays dropped its shares in Elbit, Israel’s largest arms company.
Israel’s genocide is about to reach its third year. Israel has killed over 73,000 Palestinians so far, including over 1,200 since the so-called ceasefire began. Israel's genocide will not end if corporations and governments around the world keep enabling it.
Add your name to tell corporations enabling Israel’s genocide that we won’t let them get away with it.
