The English Premier League is the most watched football league in the world. And right now, it is being used to sportswash Israel's atrocities against the Palestinian people.
At least ten Premier League clubs are sponsored by corporations that are complicit in Israel's illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide of the Palestinian people – including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The corporations include BP, Coca-Cola, Expedia, HSBC and Sony.
This isn't just unethical. It risks rendering clubs complicit in war crimes.
Since Israel's genocide began in October 2023, it has killed more than 72,000 Palestinians – including at least 565 members of the Palestinian Football Association – and injured 172,000 more.
Football clubs have a responsibility to their fans and communities. The clubs, and the Premier League, cannot keep accepting money from corporations that profit from the killing and oppression of Palestinian.
