Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza is enabled by international complicity – of governments, including the UK, and powerful corporations. Meanwhile, the super-rich and corporations are profiting from a political and economic system that pushes millions into poverty, increases global inequality and drives climate collapse.
These crises are connected — and to challenge them, we must be too.
Join us for 'From Protest to Power', an afternoon of activism and discussion to explore how we can turn our resistance into real power. Hear from frontline campaigners and activists challenging the systems of oppression driving inequality and climate breakdown including: Rafeef Ziadah, Palestinian poet and activist; Dr Mahim Qureshi, a London-based vascular surgeon who has twice volunteered in Gaza hospitals; Clive Lewis MP, member of Parliament for Norwich South; George Collecott, a lawyer working to challenge UK arms exports to Israel; James Meadway, political economist and host of the Macrodose podcast — and more!
Outgoing Executive Director of War on Want, Asad Rehman, will also share reflections on a decade of struggle and what comes next in the fight for global justice.
