The UK government lets billions of pounds flow to businesses involved in Israel’s illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land – £74 billion between 2021-24 – and still imports goods produced in these illegal settlements.
Israel’s settlements across the West Bank – and its occupation of Palestinian territory – are illegal and cause devastating harm to Palestinians. Israel has forced 300,000 West Bank Palestinians from their homes – including 40,000 since January 2025 – to make way for Jewish settlers, whether from Israel or elsewhere, to move in. This is ethnic cleansing.
In under three hours on 5 May 2025, Israel demolished a whole village, Khallet al-Dabaa, expelling around 100 Palestinian inhabitants, whose families had lived there for centuries.
Israel has pillaged Palestinians’ natural resources, destroyed 800,000 olive trees and separated Palestinians from their families and lands.
Settlers – backed by the Israeli government – violently attack West Bank Palestinians at least seven times a day, with impunity.
Israel is subjecting Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) to oppressive military occupation and apartheid - systematic racial discrimination, segregation and domination.
The International Court of Justice made it clear that the UK and other countries must help dismantle Israel’s illegal settlements and end its illegal occupation – but the UK, which has so much influence, has done nothing.
Instead, the UK continues to trade with, and invest in, illegal Israeli settlements – fuelling Israel’s brutal settler-colonialism.
The UK government must stop fuelling Israel’s illegal settlements – by banning trade with and investment in companies involved in Israel’s illegal settlements and occupation. Email your MP today to demand action.
