The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes against the Palestinian people, and crimes against humanity.
Israel has committed grave crimes against Palestinians for decades, yet since October 2023, Israel’s violence has escalated into genocide – Israel has killed over 43,000 Palestinians and injured over 102,000 as of November 2024. Israel’s leaders have been shielded from justice – but now stand accused of using starvation as a method of warfare, and of murder, persecution and other inhumane acts against the Palestinian people.
The ICC is the world’s highest court – and the UK is legally obliged to follow its rulings. This means that the UK must support the ICC arrest warrants, and arrest Netanyahu and Gallant if they ever step foot in the UK.
The UK must immediately, publicly, issue a statement backing the ICC’s arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant – and end UK complicity in Israel’s genocide and war crimes.
