London demo. Friday 20 September.
08:00-10:00 (BST)
Meet outside Shell Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 7NA then march to parliament.
Join us on Friday 20 September as we unite with movements from across the world to close the ‘Global Week of Action for Climate Finance and a Fossil-Free Future’.
We'll gather outside Shell's headquarters at 8am to hold polluters accountable and to stand in solidarity with communities in the Global South, hit hardest by a crisis they did not cause. We'll then march to parliament to make sure our voices are heard by those in power.
Shell — a major polluter and driver of the climate crisis — is responsible for causing devastation to communities globally, not least in the Niger Delta, where Shell have been operating for over 70 years, causing catastrophic oil spills, environmental destruction, and silencing those who speak out.
With a landmark court case due in 2025, we’re demanding Shell #PayUp for the damage it has caused and urge the UK to commit to paying its fair share towards the climate crisis and to ending fossil fuels.
Join War on Want, along with many other groups as we take our message directly to those most responsible.
There will be drummers, chanting and plenty of ways to get involved. You'll also hear from speakers, including those from communities most affected by climate crisis and those taking Shell to court to seek justice.
Sign up today and demand that Global North countries and corporations #PayUp for climate collapse.
