Stop the killing:
Stop the war crimes

Our political leaders have failed to stand up against war crimes and crimes against humanity. It's up to us as citizens to stand for justice, and demand:

// Ceasefire now!
// End the siege on Gaza: safe water, food, fuel, and medicine now
//
Release all hostages and all Palestinian political prisoners being held illegally
// End Israel’s occupation and work towards a just peace

Our message to Rishi Sunak PM, Sir Keir Starmer MP, and all other UK party leaders.
We are appalled at the 17 October bombing of the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip – which killed over 500 sick and injured Palestinian doctors, nurses and refugees sheltering from apartheid Israel’s ongoing bombardment. Palestinians are urgently demanding an immediate ceasefire. Yet amid such a horrific loss of life, you have failed to demand a ceasefire or uphold international law and protect Palestinian lives.

We demand you take immediate action to stop the bloodshed by calling for an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

We will not stand by while Israel’s apartheid and occupation regime carries out militarised violence against the Palestinian people on an unthinkable scale. Before the 17 October attack, the Israeli military bombed a children’s hospital with white phosphorous, bombed 36 UN sites, including schools – and attacked what it called ‘evacuation corridors’ out of Gaza, killing fleeing Palestinians, aid workers and journalists.

Israel’s apartheid and occupation regime routinely lies to hide its war crimes – and enable these crimes to continue. Time after time, from the bombing of children on the beaches of Gaza in 2014, to the killing of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in 2022, to the strike on fleeing Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip just last week, these lies have been disproved.

The conditions in the Gaza Strip are already catastrophic and are deteriorating rapidly. The Palestinian people living there have no place of safety: trapped by a brutal military occupier – Israel’s apartheid regime – that is denying the Palestinian people water, food, medicines and fuel as it commits war crime after war crime. You must act now to stop the slaughter.

The situation has never been more urgent. “Gaza is running out of life” in the words of the Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).

The UK government has pledged to increase aid to the Gaza Strip, stating that “we must support the Palestinian people”. However, as the Palestinian people have made clear, support means demanding an immediate ceasefire, access for humanitarian aid, protection from forcible transfer – and for their universal human rights to be realised. We call on you and all UK political leaders to uphold international law and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.
