Palestinians are facing mass ethnic cleansing as Israel enacts brutal collective punishment on the occupied Gaza Strip.  2.3 million Palestinians are trapped by Israel in the world’s largest open-air prison, as Israeli warplanes bombard densely populated residential areas, civilian and medical infrastructure — in blatant contravention of international law. More than 10,000 Palestinians have already been killed, including children.

Gaza is facing humanitarian catastrophe on an unprecedented scale. Alongside a massive military assault, Israel has imposed a “complete siege” on the Gaza Strip, denying the entire population food, fuel and water. Half of the population of the Gaza Strip are children and 80% are refugees, that have had to live through six major military assaults by Israel in the last 16 years of blockade, and the constant threat of bombing.

Instead of protecting all civilians, the UK government has echoed Israel’s dehumanisation of Palestinians and essentially encouraged the escalation of violence against them — even as Israel commits brazen war crimes with impunity, including by attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure and collective punishment. The UK continues to sell military technology and weapons regardless.

Our solidarity is crucial to stop the ongoing devastation of the Gaza Strip and to remind all politicians of their duties to uphold international law and the rights of the Palestinian people.

Will you ask your MP to vote for a ceasefire and demand that the UK acts to end the bombardment and lethal siege on the Gaza Strip, stops fuelling Israel’s war crimes by immediately ending its arms trade with Israel, and works towards a sustainable peace by ending the illegal occupation?
