Over 1000 Palestinians have lost their lives since Israel started its bombing of the Gaza strip. We now fear a dramatic rise in civilian casualties as the bombardment intensifies and Israel starts its policy of ‘complete siege’ – cutting off all food, water, and fuel.
This latest escalation in violence follows horrific attacks on Israeli civilians. Attacks against civilians – whether Israeli or Palestinian – can never be justified. All parties must now live up to their obligations under international law to protect civilian life.
Israel’s response is subjecting the Palestinian people to collective punishment, as has happened so many times before. Indiscriminate bombings are killing civilians. Homes, schools and hospitals are being targeted and destroyed.
Your support is needed to help deliver much needed medical aid to frontline organisations working to save Palestinian lives. Your support will also help to defend the rights of Palestinians as we call out governments and organisations which are complicit in crimes against Palestinian civilians under international law.
The international community must urgently work to stop the bloodshed and bring an end to this crisis. The cycle of violence must stop, Israel’s illegal occupation must end, and the rights of all people must be respected.
